    AbegPay (also referred to as "AbegPay," "We," "Our," or "Us") values your confidentiality. In this privacy policy (the "Policy"), we describe the information we collect, how we use it, when we disclose it, and with whom we share it. This policy is relevant to our frontend website and mobile application as well as the AbegPay-made platform. USE OF THE INFORMATION COLLECTED BY ABEGPAY Your information might be used by us for any of the following purposes: for the reasons why you supplied it. o To facilitate your use of the services made accessible via the Platform. This involves signing up for our services, confirming your identification, and confirming that you are qualified to use them. For the aim of keeping internal records for customer service and answering questions. o Tracking expenses and handling invoicing and payments, including third-party payment gateways and payment service providers connected to the Platform. o To keep the Platform updated and better; to handle security or fraud issues; or to look into complaints or possible misbehaviour or fraud. o To periodically send you marketing emails, exclusive AbegPay deals, or other material we think you'd find interesting. If there is a discrepancy between the information you give us when creating an account and the information you submit as part of the verification data we collect, we have the right to choose which information about you will be publicly shown on your profile. We may combine the information we collect about you via the Platform with data we obtain from other sources—both linked and unlinked—as well as data from any other goods or services we provide. We may merge or de-identify information obtained via the Programme. De-identified or aggregated data may be used for any purpose, including without limitation marketing and research, with any third parties, including without limitation sponsors, event promoters, advertising, promotional partners, and/or others. INFORMATION DISCLOSED BY ABEGPAY (WHAT AND WHEN?) The following scenarios may also result in us disclosing the information we collect about you through the Platform, unless this Policy specifies otherwise: Affiliates: We may share your information with any AbegPay associates; Consent: If you grant us permission to do so, we may share your information to unaffiliated third parties. These scenarios include the following: (a) when we fulfil your requests for services or products; (b) when we have your consent; or (c) as described in this Policy, the Terms of Use or any other applicable laws controlling how you use the Platform. Third-Party Platforms: We may provide access to your information to specific third parties that work with us. Invoicing, sales, marketing, advertising, market research, fulfilment, data storage, analysis, and processing, identity verification, fraud and safety prevention, and legal services are just a few of the services that these third parties provide to us. When we bring on new service providers, we usually ask them to give written assurances that they will only use your information to help us deliver the services and goods that AbegPay offers. Legal Duties: We may disclose your information as required in order to: (a) uphold our legal rights, such as maintaining and enforcing agreements with users; (b) establish or enforce our legal rights; or (c) defend AbegPay against legal claims. When required to abide by subpoenas, court orders, or other legal process we receive, we may divulge personal information. We will use reasonable commercial means to notify you if we are legally required to disclose your details, unless (1) we decide in our sole discretion that providing notice could increase the risk of injury or death, or that harm or fraud could be directed at AbegPay or users, or (2) we are prohibited by law from providing notice. If you have given us your email address, we will try to deliver the notification to that address. Please be advised that although you may oppose the disclosure request, we may nevertheless be required by law to provide your information. Safe-guarding AbegPay and Others: We may divulge your information to third parties when we believe it is necessary to investigate, stop, or take action concerning potentially illegal activities, criminal offences, situations that could endanger anyone's physical safety, violations of the Terms of Use or any other laws governing use of the Platform, and/or to safeguard our ownership of the Platform as well as the privacy and security of other users. Business Transfers: As we expand, we may buy, sell, combine, or work with other companies. We may also choose to sell part or all of our possessions. In these kinds of planned or actual transactions, or in situations when AbegPay's management shifts, user information may be shared and/or transferred. App Store: We might provide third-party app shops (like the Apple App Store or Google Play Store) access to your ID and mobile device identifier so you can download our mobile apps. GOVERNING LAW We shall apply the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, Chapter 18, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria 2004, to our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
